Ms. Mthembu provides excellence in the firm and contributes to numerous government entities where her skills are required. She has served in various public institutions including the KwaZulu-Natal Gaming and Betting Board, Tembe Elephant Park, Jozini Local Municipality Audit and Performance Audit Committee, Umvoti Municipality Audit and Performance Audit Committee, Msunduzi Museum ARC, the Municipal Bid Appeals Tribunal, the KwaZulu-Natal Liquor Authority Local Committee and SACSSP Professional Board for Social Work.
In 2025, she occupied a number of leadership and governance roles including Luthuli Museum Council member, KwaDukuza Municipality Audit Committee member, Deputy Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, Audit Committee member and Chairperson of the Investigations Committee at uMsinga Municipality, and Deputy Chair of the Board of Umhlosinga Development Agency SOE.

Samkelo Nomfundo Mahlaba is from Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. She matriculated at Cwakeme High School in Hluhluwe and completed her LLB degree at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and serves as an Associate at Gina Mthembu Incorporated. Her practice includes both criminal and civil litigation, and she also offers estate planning services as a fiduciary specialist. Her legal interests include family law litigation, and she has successfully handled numerous divorce matters on behalf of clients.
Outside of her legal practice, her interests include music and film.
Mr. Nsele was born and bred in Mbazwana within the Umkhanyakude District. He obtained his LLB from the University of Zululand.
As an admitted attorney of the High Court, he forms part of the legal team at Gina Mthembu Incorporated and contributes to the firm’s delivery of professional legal services to its clients.
During his spare time, Mr. Nsele enjoys maskandi music and soccer.
Wenzile Leboghang Mthembu was born and bred in Manguzi, KwaZulu-Natal, and matriculated at Sinethezekile High School in Jozini. She completed her LLB degree at the University of Johannesburg.
She is currently a Candidate Legal Practitioner in the litigation department at Gina Mthembu Incorporated, having joined the firm in January 2026. Her legal interests lie in civil litigation, and since joining the firm she has successfully rescinded several debt review orders on behalf of clients.
Her personal interests include music, good food and fashion.
Mr. Malinga was born and bred in Jozini. He joined Gina Mthembu Incorporated in 2004 and has been with the firm for more than 20 years.
As Practice Manager, Mr. Malinga plays an important role in ensuring that the firm operates smoothly and that client service remains a priority in the day-to-day running of the practice.
